Lodge
Our Lodge
On August 15, 2007, we began construction on our new Lodge. The Lodge is located at the southern most point of the farm. It is, to the best of our knowledge, the only hunting Lodge in the State of Arkansas that is nestled into a "green timber reservior". Our hunters will not hear but see the mallards in the woods around the Lodge.
We started here...
We drained the lake the first day. We began that day to prepare the site for construction of the Lodge. We brought in dirt, and built the pad at the Lodge location.
The heat was incredible...
And then came the piers...
More structural...
Then, we started framing...
And framing...
And framing...
We hung trusses...
Views inside the great room...
And finally, a roof blacked in...
Exterior construction proceeds with the Cypress being applied prior to the application of rock around the base of the house.
We began construction in the summer and continue to pursue completion before duck season begins in 2008. Completion is scheduled for early November, 2008. The latest photo...
