Welcome to Coon Bayou Hunting Club, formerly known as "Banfield's, Duck Funnel Hunting Club." Here you will find the latest news and information about duck hunting and related events at our brand new facility. Our spacious lodge is currently under construction and is scheduled for completion before the '09 hunting season. Our newly constructed levee system manages over 225 acres of flooded timberland. We look forward to serving duck hunters with the utmost hunting experience, both on the water and back at the lodge. We hope you will join us for some of the best duck hunting that Southeast Arkansas has to offer..

NEW FACILITY FOR COON
THE DELTA CONFERENCE CENTER
COON BAYOU SHOOTING CLUB
we have completed the majority of the lodge construction. the landscaping was completed in July and we added eight additional guest rooms. we also added a backyard.
we are now focusing on starting phase II which includes the above plan, along with 60 sporting clay stations and three shooting compaks (houses).
some pictures from our efforts to bring broadband to desha county AR
the sporting clays...
a good summer overall.
in three weeks, we will hold the first annual JABB, TO celebrate the birthdays of Josh Gibbs, Addison Faith Gibbs, and Becky Pierson....
dove shooting, sporting clays, and fun with food and friends and family....

DUCK SEASON BEGINS FOR 2009...kinda

Coon Bayou.
Well, we caught some rice water a couple of days ago. We were hoping that we might get a few Bluewings to visit. It worked.
Rowdy picked up 13 teal this am. Mickey Cantrell, our overseer, and Justin Collins, our grounds person, and myself got up and fought the mesquitos (OMG!!). They were so bad we had to go back to the lodge and get a fogger, and come back and fog so we could hunt! But, we did, and then proceeded to have a very good hour and a half of shooting these little rockets.
They can move!

OPENING WEEKEND 2009-DOVE SEASON BEGINS

WE STARTED OUR SEASON TODAY WITH A DOVE SHOOT. WE HUNTED THE KENNEDY FARM, AND HAD A SOMEWHAT SLOW OPENING MORNING, ALTHOUGH WE DID A LOT OF SHOOTING. IN ATTENDANCE: GRG, BUCK GIBBS, TAYLOR DEVERS, AUSTIN DEVERS, DON NIMEY, CHRIS THOMAS, JD AISHING, SPENCER HUEY, TAB BULLARD, NATHAN LARSON, WES SHAFTO AND COLE, GREG MIZELL, MICKEY CANTRELL, MICKEY CANTRELL, JR, JIMMY MOORE, LEE OSBORNE AND JUSTIN COLLINS
WE HAD A GOOD TIME...
"THIS MAN WAS ON A MISSION"...don nimey with the sxs...
